Adam Bow brings more than 16 years of hands-on law enforcement experience and advanced professional training as he seeks to serve as the next Barren County Sheriff.

A Barren County native, Adam has deep roots in the community he serves. He lives in Barren County with his wife, Aleia, who is also a Barren County native. They have been married for 19 years and are raising their three daughters here, which gives Adam a personal stake in the safety, stability, and future of the community.

​

Adam began his law enforcement career on June 1, 2009, with the Glasgow Police Department, where he completed the Department of Criminal Justice Training and the Police Training Officer (PTO) Program.

 

In February 2011, he joined the Barren County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff, where he continues to serve Barren County today.

 

Throughout his career, Adam has worked in demanding and diverse roles that require sound judgment, discipline, and leadership, including:

• Road Deputy

• K-9 Handler

• Detective (current assignment)

• Certified Drone Pilot (current)

• Tactical Team Member (current)

 

While serving as a Detective, Adam was selected to work on an FBI task force focused on combating child sexual exploitation and human trafficking, an assignment reserved for experienced officers with advanced training and proven professionalism.

Adam has completed nearly 1,600 hours of law enforcement training, including executive leadership training through the Department of Criminal Justice Training. He has also received advanced instruction from the Southern Police Institute in homicide investigations and the management of small police agencies, along with additional federal-level training.

​

His career reflects a clear commitment to preparation, professionalism, and service to the community.
