As sheriff, Adam will ensure staffing and patrol coverage align with the size, growth, and geography of Barren County so deputies can respond quickly, stay visible, and serve every corner of the county effectively. This includes adding deputies in a strategic, sustainable way to improve coverage while reducing unnecessary overtime.

Proactive, Community-Driven Crime Prevention
Adam believes a Sheriff’s Office should be proactive, not reactive, working every day to prevent crime before it happens.
As sheriff, Adam will hold community meetings across Barren County to listen directly to residents, learn what’s happening in their neighborhoods, and respond accordingly. Using local insight combined with crime data and trends, Adam will deploy targeted patrols when and where crime increases, being present where needed, when needed.

From traffic stops that uncover organized crime to complex investigations involving drugs, theft, and digital evidence, Adam will ensure deputies have the training, support, and leadership needed to build strong cases that lead to real accountability.
Protecting Children & Addressing Serious Crime
Protecting children will ALWAYS be a top priority. As sheriff, Adam will focus on crimes involving children (including exploitation, human trafficking, and sextortion) by strengthening investigations, training, and partnerships with state and federal agencies. This priority also includes continued tactical readiness, school safety collaboration, and rebuilding a K-9 program to help locate missing persons, track suspects, and remove dangerous criminals from our communities.
Modern Tools for a Changing World
Crime today doesn’t stop at the street. It lives in phones, computers, and data. To fight modern crime, law enforcement must be equipped with modern tools.
As sheriff, Adam will continue pursuing responsible investments in technology such as drones and digital forensics tools like Cellebrite, which allow investigators to access critical evidence faster, solve cases sooner, and reduce the number of victims. Grant funding will remain a key part of ensuring these tools are secured responsibly and sustainably.
